Eligibility / Qualification :
The eligibility shall be considered strictly on the basis of UGC Regulations, 2018 (attached herewith) for Direct Recruitment for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate to be shortlisted for interview.
All conditions and criteria on the minimum qualifying marks for degree(s), clearance of NET/SLET/SET etc. in the concerned posts shall be as per the UGC Regulations, 2018.
Application fee payable :
i) Rs. 2000 per application for General/OBC,MOBC Candidates
ii) Rs. 1000/- per application for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PWD/EWS
iii) US $ 100/- or equivalent per application for applicants frm outside India.

The candidate must perform the following task in order to apply for Cotton University Recruitment 2019
1) First of all applicants need to mail soft copy/copies of all relevant documents along with the application form to recruit2019@cottonuniversity.ac.in.
Steps :
1. a) Register yourself at the appropriate link provided.
1. b) Make payment for "Application fee" against the Registration ID created.
1. c) Download the prescribed application form in DOCX fomat/ PDF format
1. d) Fill the application form & insert your scanned signature at the prescribed place.
1. e) Convert the application form to a PDF file using any PDF converter
1. f) Convert the scanned copies of the supporting documents to PDF documents and name them <document name > e.g. Pgmarksheet
1. g) place the PDF files of the application form and the supporting documents in a single folder.
1. h) The folder should be named "<department_your_name>". For example, Sociolory_RKsharma
1. i) Compress the folder using standard file compression tools such as zip, rar, gzip, tar, Tzip etc.
Finally Send the compressed folder as an attachment to a cover letter/mail with the subjecy line "Application for the post of _______ in the department of _______ at the following email address: recruit2019@cottonuniversity.ac.in.
2) The applicants also need to send hard copies of the filled in application form along with the photocopies of the relevant documents to “The Registrar, Cotton University, Panbazar, Guwahati-781001, India”. The candidates must produce the original certificates/documents/testimonials at the time of interview.

Important Notes :
i) Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post should submit separate applications for each post along
with requisite application fee.
ii) The advertisement for filling up the vacancies of faculty positions vide Advertisement no: CCSU/ACAD/02/2015 dated November 27, 2015 stands withdrawn.
iii) Any changes/amendments/updates shall be posted on the University website: www.cottonuniversity.ac.in Candidates are advised to check the University website regularly.
iv) Candidates belonging to SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H)/OBC/ EWS/PWD category should submit prescribed certificate as per the pro forma of the Govt. of Assam.
v) Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Persons With Disabilities (PWD).
