Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Education Qualification: Candidates must have done Master degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/Wild Life Sciences/Environmental Science, with Zoology as a major subject in B.Sc., from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in taxonomy, systematics, zoology or allied subject, field survey experience with knowledge of collection and preservation of specimens and GIS mapping is desirable. Candidate should be conversant in one of the local languages of Arunachal Pradesh.
Remuneration : Rs. 12,000/- +Admissible HRA (As per rules)
Age Limit : Applicant's age shall not be more than 28 years as on last date of submitting application.
Nature of Work : JRFs are expected to undertake extensive field surveys in the mountains, forests and wetlands of Arunachal Pradesh and therefore, required to be physically fit to work in the harsh and difficult terrains of the State.

Notes :
i) The position is for a period of three years and purely on temporary basis and will be terminated on completion of the project.
ii) On Completion two years, the JRF will be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) based on satisfactory performance and assessment by the Expert Committee set up for the purpose.
