State Commission
Vacancy : 01 Posts [Female/Open-01]
Salary : Rs. 20,000/- per month plus Rs. 2,000/- per case per day of sitting as additional remuneration subject to maximum of 40,000/- per month and Rs. 500/- as conveyance allowance per day of sitting.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfil the following.
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a member unless he is of not less than 40 years of age and possesses -
a) an experience of at least ten years as presiding officer of a district court or of any tribunal at equivalent level or combined service as such in the district court and tribunal: Provided that not more than fifty percent of such members shall be appointed; or
b) a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and has special knowledge and professional experience of not less than twenty years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
District Commission, Gangtok District, East Sikkim

Salary : Rs. 15,000/- per month plus Rs. 1,000/- per case per day of sitting as additional remuneration subject to maximum of 35,000/- per month and Rs. 500/- as conveyance allowance per day of sitting.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfil the following.
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as member unless be
a) is of not less than 35 years of age.
b) possesses a bachelor's degree From a recognized University. and
c) is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than Fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, cornriterce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
District Commission, Mangan District, North Sikkim
Vacancy : 02 Posts [Female-01, Male-01]
Salary : Rs. 15,000/- per month plus Rs. 1,000/- per case per day of sitting as additional remuneration subject to maximum of 35,000/- per month and Rs. 500/- as conveyance allowance per day of sitting.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfil the following.
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as member unless be
a) is of not less than 35 years of age.
b) possesses a bachelor's degree From a recognized University.
c) is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than Fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, cornriterce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
Tenure : The appointment shall be on part-time basis for a period of four years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Selection Procedure: Selection of the Members of the Consumer Commission shall be made by the Selection Committee constituted vide Sild.dm Government Extraordinary Gazette Notification No, 164 dated 22nd July 2021 as mandated under Rule 6 of the Consumer Protection (Qualification for appointment, method of recruitment, procedure of appointment, term of officer, resignation and removal of the Presidents and members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules. 2020.
