Water Resource Department Job Vacancy 2025 (Apr) - Full Details
1) Post Name : Assistant Engineer (Civil)
No of Posts : 45 [UR: 5 , SC: 7 , STP: 5 , STH: 4 , OBC/MOBC: 24]
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfill the following qualification and criteria.
Educational Qualification:
i) Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt.
OR
Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013.
ii) The Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology must be a Regular Course recognized by AICTE/ UGC as mentioned in Point No. (i). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called will not be accepted.
Salary : Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM
Age Limit : The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
2) Post Name : Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
No of Posts : 07 [UR: 5 , SC: 0 , STP: 1 , STH: 0 , OBC/MOBC: 1]
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfill the following qualification and criteria.
Educational Qualification:
i) Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt.
OR
Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (India) in Mechanical Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013.
ii) The Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology must be a Regular Course recognized by AICTE/ UGC as mentioned in Point No. (i). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called will not be accepted.

3) Post Name : Junior Engineer (Civil)
No of Posts : 160 [UR: 88 , SC: 15 , STP: 20 , STH: 7 , OBC/MOBC: 22]
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfill the following qualification and criteria.
Educational Qualification:
i) Candidate must have 3 (Three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology/ Civil & Planning from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
ii) The Diploma course in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology must be a Regular Full time course. Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
Salary : Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- PM
Age Limit : The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
Other Criteria and Conditions
Residentship criteria:
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate along with the application form.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years.
- For Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) by 10 years.
